What is the Global Online Research Afternoon?

The Global Online Research Afternoon is a free webinar series dedicated to advancing research in diabetic foot disease. We bring together healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry experts from around the world to share knowledge, discuss latest findings, and foster collaboration in diabetic foot care and research.

Who should attend these webinars?

Our webinars are designed for podiatrists, diabetologists, vascular surgeons, wound care specialists, nurses, researchers, and anyone involved in diabetic foot disease management or research. Whether you’re an experienced researcher or just starting your career, you’ll find valuable insights.

Are the webinars free to attend?

Yes, all webinars are completely free. We’re committed to making high-quality research education accessible to the global diabetic foot community.

How many webinars are held each year?

We host 8-12 webinars annually, featuring a mix of established experts and emerging researchers covering various aspects of diabetic foot research and clinical practice.

Registration & Access

Do I need to create an account?

You can register for individual upcoming webinars with just your email. However, creating a free account gives you access to our complete archive of past webinars, downloadable resources, and makes future registrations faster.

How do I register for an upcoming webinar?

Simply click the “Register Now” button on any upcoming webinar card, fill in your details, and you’ll receive a confirmation email with the joining link and calendar invite.

When will I receive my webinar access link?

You’ll receive a confirmation email immediately after registration with all the details. We’ll also send reminder emails before the webinar starts with the access link.

What if I can't attend a live webinar?

No problem! All webinars are recorded and made available in our archive. Create a free account to access all recordings anytime.

I registered but didn't receive a confirmation email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still can’t find it, contact us at fleur@gcri-cro.com and we’ll resend your confirmation or help troubleshoot the issue.

Technical Questions

What platform do you use for the webinars?

Our live webinars are hosted on Zoom. You’ll receive detailed joining instructions in your confirmation email. No special software installation is required for most devices.

Can I join from my mobile device?

Yes! Our webinars are accessible from desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. For the best experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection.

Will there be closed captions or transcripts available?

Yes, all webinars include live closed captions during the session. Transcripts and presentation slides are made available for download in the archive section after each webinar.

What internet speed do I need?

We recommend a minimum internet speed of 3 Mbps for smooth video streaming. If you experience connectivity issues, you can dial in by phone using the audio-only option.

Webinar Content

How long is each webinar?

Most webinars run for 60-90 minutes, including time for Q&A with the speakers. The exact duration is listed on each webinar card.

Can I ask questions during the webinar?

Absolutely! We encourage audience participation. You can submit questions via the chat or Q&A function during the live session, and our moderators will relay them to the speakers.

Are presentation slides available for download?

No. However, attendees will be able to review the webinar recording through the webinar archive. Access to the recording requires a free account.

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

Certificate of attendance will not be distrubted to the attendees.

Is CPD/CME credit available?

Currently, CPD/CME credits are not available to be provided for webinar attendence.

How do I access past webinars?

Create a free account and log in. Once logged in, you’ll have unlimited access to our complete archive of recorded webinars, including presentations from leading experts in diabetic foot research.

How long are recordings available?

All webinar recordings remain accessible indefinitely in your account. You can watch them as many times as you like.

Can I download the webinar videos?

Webinar videos are available for streaming only.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click the “Forgot Password” link on the login page, enter your email address, and we’ll send you instructions to reset your password.

Collaboration & Networking

How can I connect with other participants?

We encourage networking! During live webinars, you can interact via the chat function. We also facilitate connections through occasional networking sessions.

Can I present my research in a future webinar?

We welcome proposals from researchers at all career stages. Please contact us at fleur@gcri-cro.com with a brief overview of your research topic and we’ll be in touch about opportunities.

Are there opportunities for multi-centre collaboration?

Yes! One of our key objectives is facilitating multi-centre studies and collaborative research. We regularly highlight collaboration opportunities during webinars and through our newsletter.

Can I unsubscribe from webinar notifications?

Yes, you can manage your email preferences in your account settings or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send you. You’ll still have access to the archive even if you unsubscribe from notifications.
